VANESSA Hudgens got on like a house on fire with her Beastly costar Alex Pettyfer.

The High School Musical actress, 21, says she bonded with the British star over their similar taste in music.

“I didn’t know much about him,” Vanessa said. “We actually met at an event a few days earlier, coincidentally, and about a week later we met with Daniel Barnz the director brought us in to read together.

“We did bond over music; I think that’s always an easy thing to get to know someone. We bonded over Kings of Leon; he likes Kings of Leon as well, and I’m the biggest fan.

“And sometimes, before scenes, I would listen to the Plain White T’s Hey There Delilah, before a really sweet scene too, because I think it puts you in the right headspace.”

I will add this to gallery soon, more than likely tomorrow or later this evening but look at Alex carrying Vanessa. It’s adorable. The closer it gets to this movie, the more I want to see it.

British actor and Beastly star Alex Pettyfer is already set to play the lead character, John Smith, in a story about nine aliens who disguise themselves as high school students in Ohio after a rival species destroys their home planet.

Again as a high schooler, it seems he can’t get away from playing them! But, he does look young enough to continue playing them. The synopsis sounds alright so far, can’t wait to learn more. But, kudos for it being set in my home state where I grew up!
