Beastly star Alex Pettyfer opens up to MyKindaPlace about his costar Vanessa Hudgens.

The 19-year-old British actor shared about their upcoming film, saying, “It’s an Alex Flinn book and [I'll be co-starring] with Vanessa Hudgens. She’s really talented. She’s yet to prove herself so far because she’s only been in musicals but she’s got the film Bandslam which is about to come out, and Sucker Punch. And now she’s got Beastly too, which is cool. Will I be tempted to steal her off Zac [Efron]? No! She’s a beautiful girl but I wouldn’t steal her off her boyfriend! My kind of girl… maybe Natalie Portman, or Winona Ryder.”

Beastly begins shooting this summer in Montreal, Quebec.

Alex Pettyfer: ‘I f*** more than a rabbit’
You may be familiar with Alex Pettyfer as the titular tyke from BBC drama Tom Brown’s School Days, or as “Bond Jr” Alex Rider in adventure flick Stormbreaker. But the once-angelic blond has grown up quite a bit since then.

The 19-year-old actor and part- time Burberry model slouches in his hotel room, shirt buttons askew, Calvin Kleins discarded in a corner, 4Music quietly playing Kanye on the TV.

Pettyfer has his first ever sex scene in new teen horror film Tormented, a window-steaming session in a car with Skins’ April Pearson (who played Michelle).

“I enjoyed it. Did you?” he asks in a manner you might mistake for flirtation had his dad not been sat five feet away.

It was quite nice, yes. Was it awkward?

“I’m not a very awkward person,” he says without hesitation.

“I’m up for anything, as they say. I wanted to make it look real though, like Little Children, where Kate Winslet is getting f***ed on the washing machine.”

Hmm, it’s becoming obvious that, despite appearances, Pettyfer is not another cuddly, Disney-friendly gonk. He doesn’t drink (for medical reasons he won’t go into) but when I ask if there’s any truth in blog tattle that he might abstain from “the other” he is horrified.

“I f*** more than a rabbit,” he laughs.
